Why we exist
Built by someone who has seen the risk firsthand
I'm Yudha Putra, the founder of Karya Commodity. I've worked in shipping and logistics since 2015, and in that time I kept seeing the same problem: a buyer overseas finds an Indonesian supplier, sends money, and has almost no reliable way to verify who they're dealing with, whether the goods match the spec, or whether the shipment will actually leave the port. There was no real infrastructure standing between international buyers and that risk, just a patchwork of unverified contacts and good faith.
I built Karya Commodity to be that infrastructure. We give international buyers one accountable party on the ground in Indonesia, an agent who sources and verifies suppliers, tests quality before any payment changes hands, and stays on top of documentation and logistics procedure until the order is actually closed. Our purpose is simple: keep buyers out of the deals that go wrong, and make sure the ones that go right are handled properly from the first sample to the final container.
What we do
Karya Commodity is an Indonesia based buying agent built on a simple problem. Foreign buyers want Indonesian commodities, but sourcing them directly means navigating fragmented suppliers, inconsistent quality, and real fraud risk. We exist to take that risk off your shoulders.
We represent the buyer, never the supplier. When you bring us a requirement, we find and verify the supplier, negotiate on your behalf, run quality control, and oversee the order until it is safely on its way to you. You deal with one accountable partner instead of a dozen unknowns.
Our reach is nationwide. From patchouli and spices in Aceh and North Sumatra to coconut products, coffee, and cacao across Java, Sulawesi, and the eastern islands, our network sources to grade and origin wherever the best material is grown.
To be clear about our role, we are a buying agent, not a logistics company. We do not ship your goods or move cargo ourselves. The seller ships the product. Our job is to monitor the seller throughout the transaction, making sure it is handled properly, the goods meet the agreed quality and specification, and the order is shipped to you as promised, rather than left to chance.
We are based in Batam, Indonesia, and our reach is nationwide. We source the full breadth of Indonesian commodities. From essential oils and spices to coconut products, coffee, cacao, and beyond, every order gets the same verification, the same oversight, and the same accountability, whatever you need and wherever it is grown.
